Her innovative collections have received much recognition both nationally and abroad, and have been commended in receiving a number of awards in both design and craftsmanship, most notably the London Assay Office Special Gold Award, and the 3D Innovative Technology Design Gold Award from The Goldsmiths’ Craft & Design Council.
Louise studied her BA (hons) Degree in Designed Metalwork & Jewellery under the tuition of the great Andreas Fabian MA (RCA) PhD, Elizabeth Callinicos MA (RCA) and Chris Green. Following her degree, Louise went onto train at the prestigious Bishopsland Workshops in Oxfordshire. It was from here that she explored and perfected the rare and difficult technique of combining silver and stainless steel, and where many feel she found her true signature.
Louise’s collections have grown to represent a strong sense of quality, equally in craftsmanship and design. “I continue to explore a pure aesthetic, a love of beautifully modest things, where objects and ideologies are taken back to their simplest form in both design and execution.”
