Liz Douglas’ practice involves researching material from the landscape at both micro and macro level in order to make paintings, drawings and prints.

Contemporary practices in both drawing and painting, in relation to traditional methods, are a constant challenge in order to find innovative ways of making work, that challenge my perception of landscape. She paints often on a large scale, layering paint to give a texture and colour to the structure of the surface.

Liz Douglas is a professional member of the Society of Scottish Artists, and graduate of Edinburgh College of Art.
