Born in 1980 and brought up in Mid-Wales. Bronwen Sleigh studied for her BA in Illustration at Glasgow School of Art, Graduating in 2002. She then lived and worked in Glasgow for the following four years, working at Glasgow Print studio, and completing her first solo show at Glasgow Print Studio in 2005. She spent three months in 2006 living in Cromarty as artist in residence for Highland Print Studio producing new work as running an arts project on the Fearn Peninsula.

Sleigh went on to study for an MA in printmaking at the Royal College of Art. During this time she spent six weeks at the printmaking department at The University of Calgary, Canada on a student exchange, which was hugely influential to her practice. Graduating in 2008 she stayed in London and worked for the Printmaking department at the Royal College of Art as a Lithography Technician as well as becoming a Print Fellow at the Royal Academy School. She returned to Scotland to work for Edinburgh Printmakers as their etching technician and collaborating printer and now she lives and makes work full time in Glasgow.
